Physical modelling of landslide remediation constructions behaviour under static and seismic actions

SUBJECT

Physical landslide modeling based on the analysis of reduced-model behavior began in the late 1980s when the behavior of soil flows and the fluidization of sliding materials in a reduced physical model (also known as the flume or flume test)

METHODS

The methods of stability analysis used for landslide simulation projects in engineering practice are still rough and result in the selection of conservative remedial structures. For this reason, the research results could be the basis for new approaches to the rational design of remediation structures for landslides in engineering practice.

OBJECTIVE

The proposed Project will include studies of the behavior of various structures applied for landslide landscapes in physical landslide landscapes in static and dynamic conditions where static conditions presuppose precipitation precipitation conditions and dynamic conditions of earthquake landslides caused by earthquakes. The measured parameters from the physical model will be included in 3D numerical simulations. The results from both models will provide a better understanding of the behavior of landslide landscaping structures.
